Take Your Own Advice

You tell me to dry my eyes
You tell me not to worry
But when it comes to you nothing you said is true

You tell me nothing matters
to put it all behind
But when it comes to you
your locked with the key nowhere in sight

Feelings are very tricky
but friends make them subside
So when they give advice keep it close in mind

Do You Know What Its Like?

Do you know what it’s like
to grow up too fast...
to have different feelings because
of your past?

Once so innocent, so young...then
in the beat of your heart
your childhood’s...done

Deprived of the memories
you shared with your friends...wishing
your life would just come to an end

Do you know what it’s like
to have life taken away...then
have to hold it inside...
because you’re dead if you say?

Do you know what it’s like
to go day by day...to survive on
each breath
and slowly
softly
drift
away?

Unforgetful Dream

Cries fill the air as the horrific scene unfolded. The look of disbelief covered the face of ever
by-passer. No one could believe what had just unfolded before their eyes. Revecca woke to the sudden
sound of sirens. She ran to the window to see what was going on. Down the road from her apartment
building there was a crowd collecting at the corner of main and Lakeside. She put on her robe and ran
to the elevator. Rebecca made it down to the crowd just in time to see bodies being carried out of a
 pile of debree.
One of the people being carried out was someone very familiar to Rebeca. It was her mother,
Rebecca tried to make her way through the crowd but the accident was blocked off by police officers.
After explaining that it was her mother, the police officers let her pass so Rebecca could ride to the
hospital with her mother. While in the ambulance with her mom, Rebecca asked what happened. Her
mother told her to sit back and relax because, it was going to be a long ride.
Rebecca stared at her mother as she started to tell her story. Rebecca's mother closed her eyes as
if about to fall into a deep sleep. " It all started with a small explosion in the alley behind our building"
she said. "One of the police officers told me that someone put a small home made bomb in the trash
can behind the dumpster."  "The next thing I knew I had made it outside the building to see what
happened and another bomb went off. That is the one that got everyone who was hurt or almost
everyone. "
Suddenly the alarm clock in Rebecca's room went off. She jumped out of bed extremely confused
and very worried about her mother. she ran out of her room and went to her mother's apartment
building. Rebecca repeatidly knocked on her mom's door until the door was finally opened. Rebecca's
mom was standing in the door way in her pajamas utterly confused about the condition that her
daughter was in. Rebecca seemed to be very distraught and confused when she walked into her mom's
apartment. Rebecca told her mom about her apparent dream and her mother began to laugh
hysterically. She explained to her daughter that it was all just a dream and that she was fine.
Later that week, everything that occured in Rebecca's dream came true. The only difference was that
this time it was the cold hard truth and not just a dream that she could shrug off and forget  when
she wakes up.

Childrens Story Assignment

I really liked this assignment, and I think that it was a cool idea for something new to do. The only thing that I really didnt like about this assignment was that we only got one week to work on it. I really would have liked more time so that way I could come up with something better than what I did. I had already started a story but since we only got a couple of days to work on it i didnt get to finish which made me kind of sad.
I really enjoyed listening to everybodys stories that they wrote. I think that they were all so cut and creative. I especially liked how Laura made her story a pop up book. That in my opinion was a really cool idea especially for a kids book because, alot of kids like things like that. Another story that I really liked was Molly's she made hers so cool, it was also really relatable even if it was for a little kid which made it even better. I also really liked Sidney's story. Her pictures were so adorable. I think that all of the stories that the other kids in my class wrote, would be great stories for kids. The kids would really like them.

the lady in the white room

The room was white and dreary nothing was interesting in the
slightest. She sat there not moving, doing nothing but sitting.
She stared out the window of her all white dreary room into the
nothingness of the great unknown. Wondering what exactly
lye beyond the walls of her new home, the home she would
always know. Every day when she woke from her slumber
she would position herself to face the window and daydream
of all the wonderful things beyond the wall. She didnt remember
any of her life before she was moved to her new home but she
remembered everything after. She rarely got visitors at her new
home but when she did, she never remembered any of the
people who came to see her. she was slowly but surely loosing
every ounce of her memory and she was oblivious of it. with every
passing day she got worse and she soon became so bad that
she didnt even get out of bed to sit by the window anymore.
she had no realization of anything that was around her. no one knew
but she would spend her last few days in that bed in her daydreams.

pictures in the attic

Today was the day to clean out the new house before they could move in. We unfortunately were stuck with the attic the creepiest room in the entire house.  The stairs were jailed by a long dark hallway with a dark squeaky door at the start. We took a long deep breath and then opened the door. We would soon find out that was a complete mistake. We walked up the old broken steps until we reached the attic floor. At the top of the stairs there was a string to turn on the light and after turning the light on complete shock covered both of our faces. Pictures cover every crack and crevice possible in the floor. The pictures were so old that they were all faded and most of them were torn in one place or another.         We desperately wanted to get the job done so we started to pick up the photos and put them in plastic bags. But there was something that was not right about the pictures, something odd and abnormal. I luckily was not the only one who realized that there was something weird going on. My friend picked up one of the pictures that she had just put in her plastic bag and brought it over to me so that I could see it. As she was bringing it to me I could see in her face that she was frightened. After looking at the photograph for myself we quickly gathered up as many pictures as we could and ran down the stairs to get her parents.         We spread the photos across the floor in the dining room and then showed them what we found. They were pictures of dead people. Picture after picture was of a deceased person young and old. They were all of people who had died and there were so many of them that we couldn’t even count them all. After her parents saw the pictures they decided to talk to the person who was selling the house and see what was going on. So when we asked them about the pictures they explained to us that a long time ago people used to take pictures of deceased loved ones to remember them how they were.
